What Day is It? It's October 3rd.

Every year October 3rd comes around and suddenly the internet collectively remembers one thing.

"What day it is?"

"October 3rd."

And just like that, Mean Girls Day is officially here.

It's kind of crazy that all these years later, this movie still has the girls ina chokehold. The pink. The mini skirts. The Burn Book. Regina George. And enough one-liners to permanently alter our vocabulary.

But watching Mean Girls as a grown woman hits a little different.

Because Regina wasn't the only mean girl. Cady got messy. Janis had her own motives. Gretchen just wanted to belong. And honestly? Everybody was trying to figure out where they fit. And maybe that's why the movie still works. Because even as grown women, sometimes it still feels like we're sitting in that cafeteria trying to figure out which table is ours.

The work cliques. The friend-group politics. The IG girls. The compliments that definitely weren't compliments. Maybe we never completely leave the cafeteria. We just get older, dress better, and eventually realize the goal isn't to become Regina George.

It's finding the table where you never have to ask if you can sit.

Anyway, girl... Happy October 3rd.

And yes, we're wearing pink.
